SUMMARY:Interview: What makes researcher recruitment and retention inclusive?
DESCRIPTION:Activities for I-REACCH\, a Wellcome Trust funded project\, are now underway\, exploring and improving how we engage in research culture at the University of Leicester. We would like to interview colleagues to explore three key topics: \n\nThe diversity and culture of research groups and/or research support service teams.\nThe decisions to join the University of Leicester (from recent starters).\nThe decisions of those leaving the University of Leicester and/or transition away from research \n\nThe interviews will be arranged on an individual basis around your availability and preferences\, taking place on main campus or via teams. Once you have expressed interest\, you will be provided with participant information to allow for informed consent before an interview time is confirmed. DESCRIPTION:Workstream 4 of the I-REACCH project is all about co-creating a toolkit for an empathic and inclusive research culture with you at the centre. Using creative research methods\, we are gathering diverse voices to ensure it meets your needs.  \nUpcoming Activities (Mon 27 Jan – Fri 14 Feb 2025; in person or online)  \n\nInteractive Focus Groups: Engage in dynamic conversations on effective leadership qualities and expectations for fostering inclusivity in research.  \nResearch Islands: Explore challenges and opportunities within research culture and leadership through a unique island-inspired activity. \nDesign your own research leader: Create your vision of an ideal inclusive research leader\, exploring essential skills\, traits and behaviours in a hands-on body mapping session.  \n\nOne to one interviews: Share and reflect on your experiences of research leadership.  \nActivities are open to all\, whether you’re actively involved in research\, have transitioned from a research role\, or contribute in any capacity – we value and welcome everyone’s input.  \nIf you are interested in participating in any of these activities\, please express your interest here.
